Assalamu Alaykum,

Iā€™m Beidan Hassan, Registered Social Worker & Psychotherapist

As a Black Muslim woman, I have struggled to connect with clinicians who do not share similar values and lived experiences as I have. I want to ensure that my therapy practice is a safe space for women from all walks of life, including other BIPOC and/or Muslim women who have felt unsafe in therapeutic settings in the past.

When facing challenges in your relationships, or experiencing difficulties with navigating difficult emotions, it can be confusing, isolating, and painful. As your therapist, I can help you sort through your unique circumstances while working together to reconcile your experiences with faith and spirituality, whatever capacity it holds in your life. I can hold space for you through complex life transitions while helping you to better connect with your values and authentic self.

I hope to be able to provide a safe space for Muslim clients, and clients from any faith group, to be able to speak about the impact of their faith on their healing and their relationship with God without judgment. Wherever you are in your healing journey, you do not have to go through it alone. If you feel as though my services can assist you, I invite you to book a free 15-minute consultation with me.
